PERIPHERAL VISION: AN EXERCISE FOR SEEING IN THE DARK

</>

It doesn’t take much for me to imagine the worst. Ever since I was a child, fear has been my most trusted companion. It follows me everywhere. Even when I sleep, it talks to me. Sometimes it tells me that the skies are purple and not blue. Sometimes it tells me I have six fingers instead of five. Sometimes it tells me all the light switches are broken, and I believe it. When it tells me to run, I run without hesitation, but when I open my eyes, I realise that the truth is something I have to learn all over again.
